At SOLYP, we maintain close relations with our customers and are always pleased when they recommend our strategic intelligence software SOLYP3 to other interested companies out of their own accord. Such was the case of Clemens Trautmann, CEO of Immonet GmbH, who emphasized the "very good integration" of SOLYP3 in the BI and controlling processes his company during his talk at the Oracle BI Conference, which tool place on June 12, 2014 in Dublin.
Immonet is a subsidiary of the publishing group Axel Springer and with over 300 employees one of the leading full-service real estate portals in Germany. In recent years, the company has enjoyed rapid growth, which necessitated not only new organizational structures and processes, but also a new approach to controlling and business intelligence. Thanks to modern software solutions, the company now has a unified, data-driven strategic planning and budgeting process in place.
“The starting and end point” of this process, explained Clemens Trautmann, is the data warehouse which provides monthly forecasts with market, competitive, and financial data. The decentralized sales units then revise and adjust the bottom-up forecast data based on current developments, enter it into SOLYP3, and supplement it with their own qualitative analyses and assessments. This is done in SOLYP3 using digital questionnaires. The with the help of SOLYP3 adjusted forecast data is then entered into SAP by the FI/CO and played back into Oracle BI in order to serve as basis for the new forecast cycle. This approach allows Immonet to react very quickly and flexibly to changes in the business environment. Oracle enables „a perfect interplay with the planning tools SOLYP3 and SAP“, was the positive conclusion of Clemens Trautmann.
