In 2006, REWE was honored the second place of the CeBIT Business Intelligence Forum Best Practice Award for its IT-supported strategic planning project. Since 2003, REWE carries out a systematic strategic planning process which is led by the strategic controlling department. The strategic planning system SOLYP3 was introduced in 2005.
