With approximately 34,000 employees and a turnover of 5.1 billion Euros in 2014, OSRAM is one of the two leading light manufacturers in the world. The product portfolio of the traditional German company founded more than 100 years ago covers the entire value chain from components to electronic control gears as well as complete luminaires, light management systems and lighting solutions.

In corporations of this size, collecting, analyzing, and evaluating strategically relevant data and information is rather challenging and barely manageable without an appropriate tool. That’s way in 2012, OSRAM decided to implement the strategic software SOLYP3 to support its strategic planning—replacing the existing SAP system.
